Read the Printed Word!

Insanity at its finest.

My day started at Matteo Ricci for our EN11 class, wherein we were supposed to write a descriptive essay about that place. Our LIT13 discussion was fun, as usual. Sir Lizada made our supposed-to-be-homework into our Friday quiz so we won’t have anything to do the next days but read “May Day Eve.” We had a fifteen-item quiz in ES10 and were dismissed forty minutes early.

Since ES12 was free cut due to the departmental meeting, I figured I should get out of Katipunan. PE tomorrow is free cut too, so I still have a lot of time. I took a trike to Ministop and walked towards the LRT2 station. It was my first time there tbh, and I got really confused that I almost went to the wrong side of the station. I alighted at the Araneta-Cubao station and didn’t know where to go (I DON’T KNOW HOW TO COMMUTE DON’T JUDGE ME!). I asked this super nice man for directions and he guided me through Gateway Mall then to Farmer’s Plaza and finally got to the MRT station. I bought a ticket to Ortigas and then again, was lost between two platforms (going South and going North) so I asked another nice man (THANK YOU LORD FOR NICE PEOPLE!) and pointed me to the right platform. And alas, after thirty minutes, I arrived at SM Megamall.

I went to the cinema after getting lost for so many times and when I checked, the screening was 1220PM… it was already 1230PM. Ugh. I bought a ticket for the 240PM screening, ate lunch, and went around since I don’t have enough cash with me to actually shop. I bought both the June (because I forgot to buy last time) and July 2011 issues of Status magazine, and now I’m broke. The trailers were already rolling when I got inside the movie theatre. After a few minutes, Monte Carlo started.

My (very, very short) thought about the Monte Carlo:
Paris and Monte Carlo (the place) were such eye-candies! I do hope I’d get to travel there someday. The story was quite predictable. Too teenybopper-ish. It was just like Lizzie McGuire Movie only with a different twist (and a better one, in my opinion). I never actually figured out what was the point of the movie (aside from the self-respect over social status cliche). Although I do like the movie’s styling, especially Katie’s. All in all, the movie was sweet. Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester (I want her hair color!) and Katie Cassidy are too cute together!

Now, excuse me as I munch my instant mac ‘n cheese dinner while making my essay.
