Of Cuts, Sabaw Moments and Art

Photos taken by my 5MP camera phone

I haven’t been attending any of my classes since yesterday, but thankfully 2 out of the 6 classes I purposely didn’t attend were declared as free cuts. I only went to school to take the LIT13 midterms - which went pretty well, aside from the fact that I used the word “gossip” countless of times. #modelstudent

I was supposed to attend my MA11 class but during our 4 hour break (since FIL11 was a free cut), Jan, JL (who decided to rename himself as “Jonzo”), Manel and I went to Cha Dao and hung out. After our sabaw moments, we have persuaded each other to cut class. Thus, resulting to JL’s first ever unexcused absence.

We then learned that Anj was also cutting MA11 for she was supposed to go to UP for their feature article. The four of us decided to tag along. It was my first time to go to UP-D, to be honest, and I was dumbfounded with the artworks at their College of Fine Arts.

Sculptures were on the grounds and hanging from the trees, and even the benches were traditionally painted. There were also exhibits going on and two seminars were being conducted (one of which is “Photo Mania” if I remember correctly; a seminar about photography, obviously). I haven’t seen that much art in the Ateneo in one day (or probably I haven’t explored the campus that much). It haven’t occurred to me to transfer there, though. I’m pretty much satisfid with my choice of BFA ID.
